Riverside Staffing Services Inc is Hiring a Technician II Near Kansas, KS

Summary

Repairs and maintains diesel trucks by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Can perform all job duties of a Technician I
  • Preforms DOT inspections, prep truck for inspections
  • Can Align Trucks
  • Can Diagnose and repair coolant leaks
  • Can Diagnose and repair most Charging and starting issues
  • Can Diagnose and repair Basic electrical issues
  • Has a base understanding of Truck computer elec. systems
  • Can diagnose and repair invertors
  • Has a base understanding of Fifth wheels and couplers
  • Has a base understanding of working on and repairing the ATD/ DPF systems
  • Has a base understanding of APU’s and the PM’s and basic repair of them

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school; ASE Diesel Certification, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required:

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Diesel Technician
  • 609 certified
  • Brake certified
  • Periodic Inspector Certified (DOT Federal Annual)
